1.     What is the SMS Bundles service?

SMS bundles will enable Digicel subscribers to subscribe to a Text Bundle plan each month at a discount to the standard text messaging price.

 

 

2.     Why is this service being offered?

This service is offered in order to give our customers:

§  Better value on price per message, esp. for high volume SMS users

§  Simple sign up process direct from the mobile

 

3.     Who is the SMS Bundles product for?

Currently only for Prepaid subscribers

 

4.     What are the types of plans being offered?

There are four different plans: 

§  20 Text Plan- allows customers to send UP TO 20 text messages to any Digicel number

§  60 Text Plan- allows customers to send UP TO 60 text messages to any Digicel number

§  120 Text Plan- allows customers to send UP TO 120 text messages to any Digicel number

§  60 Mixed Text Plan- allows customers to send UP TO 60 text messages to any Digicel or other local provider number

6.     How do I register for this product?

 

STEPS:

A.     To view SMS Bundles Plans available send the following code: *143# SEND.

 

B.     The customer will get a message that reads:“Welcome to the Digicel Text Bundle service. To select the 20 text messages plan dial   *143*10# or to select the 60 text messages plan dial*143*20#”, to select 120 etc etc.

 

C.     If the customer wishes to sign up for the SMS Bundle he has to have an available credit balance to buy these.

 

D.     Chose a plan:

Send *143*10# for the   20 Text Plan.

Send *143*20# for the   60 Text Plan.

Send *143*30# for the 120 Text Plan

Send *143*40# for the   60 Mixed Text Plan

 

 

E.      Once a plan is selected, the customer will receive a message that reads:

“Thank you for selecting <SMS Bundle Plan> text messages. To accept charges of <registration charge> until <expiry date> dial *143*1#. To cancel and start again dial *143*9#”.

 

F.      Once the customer confirms to accept the charges, the credit will be deducted and he/she will receive a message that reads:

“Registration successful: Now you can send <number of texts available with plan> text messages to any Digicel phone number until <expiry date>. Terms and Conditions apply.”

 

G.     The customer can now send messages at a discounted rate to other Digicel subscribers and to local subscribers on another network in case he subscribed to the mixed bundle.

 

 

 

7.     How does a customer check the available balance left in SMS Bundle dedicated account?

§  Enter *143* <plan id> # and press send.

§  A SMS is then sent to customer showing available balance in SMS Bundle.
